Following is the update for Bukit Cerakah Hearing for leave for Judicial Review.
The Hearing for leave for Judicial Review was heard before YA Dr Shahnaz binti Sulaiman. Rajesh Nagarajan, Sachpreetraj Singh Sohanpal and Lusinthra Pillai appeared for the Applicants. Nur Irmawatie Daud appeared for the 1st to 4th Respondents, Lau Kee Sern, KC Ng and Eunice appeared for the 5th Respondent, R Ganapathy and Sabri appeared for the 6th Respondent and John Wong and Sarah Lau appeared for the 7th Respondent.
The Hearing proceeded with oral submissions from all parties. After the oral submissions, the Court directed as follow:
1. The Respondents to file Additional Submissions on the legal justification of backdating the Gazette Notification by 26.10.2022;
2. The Applicants to file Submissions in Reply by 30.10.2022; and
3. The Decision is fixed on 17.11.2022.
The Court also extended the ad interim junction granted on 11.08.2022 to 17.11.2022.
