Following is the update for Bukit Cerakah Hearing for leave for Judicial Review.
On 17th Nov 2022, our application for Judicial Review has been rejected by the Shah Alam High Court. We do not know the reason for this rejection as it will only be revealed if we submit an appeal.
After discussion with our lawyer, SACF Society and PEKA Malaysia have decided to appeal against the rejection. The appeal will be heard by a different judge. We will update you all again on the progress of our appeal.
In the meantime, please continue to share our crowd-fund for the legal fees. As of now we have collected RM39,433 (Thank You!). However our initial target of RM50,000 has been raised to RM60,000 due to this additional appeal. So far we have disbursed a total of RM22,168 to our lawyer Raj & Sach.
